A Summer Camp for Girls and Boys

Science Discovery Camp is a summer camp where girls and boys can enjoy a fun-filled week with science! We offer a range of programs including anatomy, astronomy, biology, chemistry, CSI, dinosaurs, earth science, general science, space science, math, model rocketry, physics, and things that can fly.

SDC runs over a two week period each year in early to mid June with both a morning and an afternoon session. Campers may choose to attend up to 4 sessions during the two weeks, coming in the morning, afternoon, or both for both weeks.

Campers attending both a morning and an afternoon session can make use of a cafeteria where they can eat their packed lunches (drinks not provided), and later a short block of recess before beginning the afternoon session.

SDC will be held at Royalmont Academy in Mason, Ohio this year.

Over 25 years of hands-on science

Science Discovery Camp has been running in the Cincinnati area for over 25 years, impacting over 16,000 school aged children with the curiosity and excitement of science.

Our unique program structure enables campers to experience the scientific method first-hand from a wide range of interests.

Science Discovery Camp is first and foremost about making sure each camper that attends enjoys their time at camp; that is why we prioritize fun and interactive lessons and experiments in all of our programs.

Our Staff

With a staff of over 20 board of education certified teachers, with decades of experience in a wide variety of scientific fields, you can be sure your camper is in good hands.

Our staff works closely with our campers to ensure that they explore and understand what they are learning. Offering one-on-one support where needed while encouraging campers to help each other learn through the scientific method. We understand the importance of dedicated and focused instruction in learning, and with class sizes limited to 12-14 campers, depending on grade, we maintain an exceptional counselor-to-camper ratio.

We also have a few camp helpers, usually high-school or college-aged students with a passion for science, who are available to assist our counselors and ensure each camper gets the help and support they need.
